Holiday Evaluation

I really ENJOYED my holidays this year, did you? I dug a little deeper and tried to determine what was so nice, things I'd done different, things I had added and things I'd left out. I ran across a thought provoking Holiday Evaluation from my new blog friend Susan (in Georgia) at "A Southern Day Dreamer Blog: http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/ and found she had put into words just what I was thinking. So why don't you review your Holiday Season with the questions below and see if you would do things differently or do more of the same. It's an interesting thing to ponder!

Best things about this Christmas?
Special event(s) this year want to do again?
Worst thing that happened this year?
Anything eliminated to make Christmas less hectic/more meaningful?
Ways could have been better prepared?
Put off, I wish I hadn’t?
Christmas Eve what I wanted it to be?
Christmas Day ?
Open House/Family party?
Decorating?
Un-decorating?
Needs changing?

I have a big blk and white make names charlie, he looks like he has a gigantic nose because of a black spot on his face. Poor guy.

i liked this Christmas at home... granted i missed my family dearly, but it was nice not to have to "BE" here and there and rush rush rush, ya know?

  8. Carson is adorable...he is just my kinda dog! And those are good questions to ask yourself...but we actually have a pretty slow pace for the holidays so it's not too bad. It helps when your kids are all grown. I'm glad you had a great one!

  10. Very thought provoking questions Susan but this year would not be the one for me to analyze Christmas traditions, etc. This year was soo different, in too many ways to list. But it was filled to overflowing w/ gratitude & that became the focus of the holidays. I have so very, very much to be thankful for. Everything else is trivial.

  11. I think that just being with the People you care about ..and having wonderful food and an enjoyable evening ..is the best Christmas. I have to say I am not a fan of all the shopping and going crazy ... for the Day. Things that make you think ..hmmm. I can't bare going to malls at all. Too much for me. I rather go to an Antique store...or some place like that. :)

  13. I loved your ugly ornament post. I think it sounds like a riot for my class at school or our church youth group. I really had a nice Christmas. My twin Grandsons are old enough to really enjoy it this year. Also, as I have said more than once, I need NOTHING, so there was no disappointment this year. Some years, when my kids were small and I shopped and cooked and shopped for teachers and neighbors and the minister and the bus driver and EVERYONE, I got burned out and felt sorry for myself because it was all for everyone else and nothing for me....not this year. I am happy just that my kids and grandkids want to be with me! Carol

  19. We had a GREAT Christmas, celebrating the birth of Christ. I'm glad your Christmas was wonderful, too.

Even though things were slightly "turned around" for us, things went without a hitch. A week before Christmas, we decided to cancel our Get-Away and stay at home for Christmas. So, that meant last-minute decorating and baking!!! But I got it all done.

    The best parts were:

    The PINK tree

    AND

    Shopping the Day AFTER Christmas!!

Thanks for stopping by...and Rub 'n Buff is ONLY metallic colors.

    ~Blessings and Happy New Year!
