Honduras Million

I went to Honduras this summer for my
50th birthday present to myself. Not to be
trite, but it changed my world and made
me see things very differently. I sponsor
a 6 year old little girl named Iris (in
Honduras you phonetically pronounce
this Ear' dis.) She lives very high up in
the mountains and walks several
miles a day to get to school. She has a
sweet, shy smile and doesn't speak
English but we seemed to communicate.
We both like to be silly and make faces
and sometimes that was enough of a common language.

  2. Thank you for your encouragement to my daughter and her husband, Michele and K.C. They come home tomorrow and I know it will be difficult for them to see Lina's fixed up room etc. But, God knows what He's doing so it will be exciting to see what happens next.

  4. Well, how about that? I am 50 as well. I didn't do anything as noble as Honduras, but 5 high school girl friends went white water rafting. It was a hoot! I am loving all the pics of your house. You seem just like me. It is all about what one can create!!!!
