Christmas Book Collection

When growing up my ALL TIME FAVORITE Christmas book was Jolly Old Santa Claus. The book in the left in this picture (w/blue background) was the originally BELOVED book. (note the tape on the spine). Years later I found the book reprinted and scooped it up. I just LOVE the art work in this beautiful book. It was a tradition at my house to read it one Christmas Eve!
This is a FAVORITE picture of mine. I could stare it for ages and study each of the elves. I believe this also prompted my love of cookie baking!
This scene was also a favorite. It's Santa's workshop and it intrigued me as a child...imagining that Santa was up at the North Pole at his desk; making that LIST!!!
It looks like my cat Riley is ready to have this book read to her!

These are just a few more of my Christmas Book Collection

  1. I had a favorite Christmas Book when I was a little girl. I have searched for it for years. My parents had a flood in our basement and it was lost when I was 8 or 9.
It is called " Christmas Cookie Sprinkle Snitcher" OMG SUSAN I just googeled it - OMG its going for over 200.00 on Ebay and Amazon. My Aunt bought it for me, must have been in 69. I can't believe it ... whoo It was though my most favorite book ever - except for Eloise. My Aunt gave me that book too. I miss Her.

  28. I love Christmas books also and can get lost in the stories sometimes. I found a really old book of christmas stories last fall at an antique store, like probabkly fgrom the sixties or something, not really all that old, but still such an innocent time in america. It will be fun to read. I haven't had timew to even get it out this year, maybe for next year.
