Look how it's ACCUMULATING!!!
Carson's curious, too, as I snapped a picture of the front door. I was so excited I forgot to turn on my lighted topiary! WHOOPS!
Here are some pretty Nandina Berries. In person, there was a little snow accumulated.
Here's my sago palm with snow!!!
As you can see I'm still A VERY HAPPY AND EXCITED CAMPER! I've been home two hours and it's STILL coming down. Not quite a blizzard but good enough for me! Thank you God for giving this little piece of joy....it's an amazing Christmas present!

Well alrighty then Susan..you just do your little happy dance! lol lol Girl, here in Alabama we rarely see snow but when we do we panic...a trance comes over us and we all flood the stores buying up every loaf of bread and gallon of milk we can find...all cars develope a mind of their own and start slipping & sliding all over the highway..we just can't handle it! lol lol But it is pretty to see! Thanks for coming by girl...have a great night with your snow! lol
ReplyDeleteI am probably the only person in Houston that is complaining about this white stuff! :) It is pretty in the mountains, and that is where it should stay. hehehe
ReplyDeleteI think the only time I loved it was the year we actually had a lot of snow on Christmas Day (not too many years ago)! Remember? And my youngest son actually got a piece of cardboard and sled down the golf course greens! :) Now that was something to see....

ReplyDeleteFirst off Susan your just too Dang Cute, OMY, when I was a kid we moved from the Mitten to Nevada. I was used to all the seasons of Michigan. That year that we moved to Las Vegas was the first year in " SIX " that snow actually accumulated ~ Did more than that, because I made a Snow Man out of Snow and Sand ...was a nitty gritty Snow Man ..right next to the dinky palm tree in our sand ( no grass front yard) ... He came out to be a Sandy Faced TEXTURED Snow Man ! how is that. lol. I am so happy Your happy with your Snow Girl ~ Blessings Always Kim
ReplyDeleteOh, Susan, I am so jealous. I have students are too young to remember the Christmas snow of 04! My sweety laughs because I get teary eyed any time we talk about it or look at photos of it.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Lorilee
Isn't it funny how some things never change. On the rare occasion when it would snow in Dallas, I can remember thinking that there couldn't be anything prettier and now as an adult I still just stare in wonder. We got about 100th of an inch up here last nite. And yes, I wanted to do a happy dance too. Debbie
ReplyDeleteI agree completely! Snow is a really fun toy from God so we need to close school, let everyone off work and go home and enjoy the heck of it. I think you got this one on the mark! BTW, ♥ the rating system for your posts.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, thanks for visiting my blog. Don't you just love the square here in G'town? And Southwestern is such a beautiful campus and wonderful school, your niece is lucky to be able to attend. Loved your post about the snow. They predicted a slight chance here this morning, got a few flakes but mostly sleet. It is funny how people react, it seems to make everyone so happy. Probably because we don't have to deal with it 9 months of the year lol. Kathy
ReplyDeleteSusan, It is fun to see snow when it doesn't happen very often. I remember it snowing once when I lived in San Diego. I was just like you - so excited. I loved seeing the beauitful pictures of you!!!
ReplyDeleteHI Susan!! Ohhh I am soo jealous!! I wish we would get some snow! And I'm in the northwest! We're supposed to get some snow durnit!! The snow I must say is very becoming to you! You look radiant! *winks* Thanks for stopping by my little corner of blogdom. It's always nice to meet another trash to treasure gal! *smiles* Vanna

Susan, we were doing the happy dance in MS also. we don't get snow very often either. It sure is pretty.
ReplyDeleteWe then have sleet on top of the snow, that is when everyone goes crazy...i.e. cleaning out the ditches with your cars.....It will probably be melted by tomorrow.
Come by my blog and check out our snow.
Hi Susan, I'm so glad you stopped in to say hi. Yes, that is a picture of my house on my blog header. I need to change it to a christmas picture soon. I hope to maube to that tomorrow. You and I have a lot in common in the hobbie department. I am so glad you got to experience some snow. We recieve plenty here in Missouri and some times the ice will knock our electric out for days. That is no fun. we are anticipating a big storm with snow and ice for this coming Monday. Only time will tell, not the weather man thats for sure. Nice visiting with you and come back soon,
ReplyDeleteShanda

ReplyDeletetotally "get it" !! And I even grew up in Michigan where a day of snow was 6 feet at a time and you couldn't get out the front door - but in CA, or TX when I see 3 flakes falling...I am a kid too! ~Cheryl
