We who have taught, or just love children know this is funny!
From the diary of a Pre-School Teacher:
My five-year-old students are learning to read.
Yesterday one of them pointed at a picture in a zoo book and said,
"Look at this! It's a frickin' elephant!"I took a deep breath, then asked..."What did you call it?""It's a frickin' elephant! It says so on the picture!"
And so it does...
" A f r i c a n Elephant "
Hooked on phonics! Ain't it wonderful?
That is so stinkin cute! Outta the mouth of babes.

ReplyDeleteThat is HILARIOUS! We live in the NW and have some very dear friends in Hawaii whom my daughter has never met. Their names are Flip and Lei.....so it becomes.....Flip-n-Lei........I talked about them a lot because they are so dear. Finally one day my daughter asked why I didn't like Lei??? WHAT??? I couldn't figure out where she'd get that idea, I LOVE Lei......you know, Mom.......Flippin Lei???
ReplyDeleteWarm blessings!
