This picture is my sister, Donna (right), my cousin, Martha (middle) and me (left). This was taken approximately 1967-68??? We were at our Grandparent's house, about to go to another cousins wedding.
We were QUITE the fashionista's, weren't we! LOL!
PS: I would kill to have that lamp, table and the cool front door in the background!
Susan,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by with the nice comments. I love your post. I remember going to a ballet at about the same time your picture was taken and I was so excited to have my little white gloves, little purse (I don't even think I had anything to put in it) and matching sweater to my mom's. What a fun memory you brought back for me, thanks.
Maryrose
PS - I agree with you on the lamp, table and front door. They don't make them like that anymore.
Your photo brings back memories of growing up in the 60's. Thanks!

Thank you for stopping by my blog and taking the time to comment. I'm enjoying your blog too. Love the picture on today's post, and man I would love to have some of the stuff my mom, grandma and great grandma just got rid of and sold for pennies at garage sales! lol Have a wonderful evening.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I have some pictures that look very similar to this one. Love it. laurie
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and introducing yourself.
I love vintage photos and looking back at all the items I would now kill for.
I grew up in an old wooden house with a front porch, hard wood floors and we had a pink, black and white kitchen. I hated it when we were growing up. I wanted to live in a newer home.
I would love to live in that old house now. I think we often don't appreciate things until we get older.
I would love to have that table in your photo too!
Oh and about your job... I would go only if I could bring my dog and cat. I would never get rid of my pets. To me they are like my children.
Everything can be replaced except people and pets!
Hugs,
Joanne
Oh I almost forgot to answer your question. Yes I did make that cake in my post. Thanks for the compliment.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Joanne
