Happy New Year everybody and thanks for visiting my blog! I notice something strange in the coffee room at work last week. Does anything look unusual to you....cream, sugar, cups and Tabasco Sauce!?!?!?! I know Texans like things SPICY, but, really???? Spicy Coffee? I don't think anyone at the office actually drink coffee with Tabasco, but the tray sure looked funny to me! I'm not sure WHAT's going on in this neighborhood near mine. These gigantic mushrooms made me do a double take and quick drive around the block to get a picture. They're cute, but I'm not sure why they popped up!
That van is definitely groovey! The mushrooms ARE strange for sure. I have little ceramic ones in my flowerbed, but nothing THAT BIG! I've been off for Christmas break, but it is back to school for teachers and students tomorrrow! UGH! I was getting used to sleeping until 7:30 a.m.. Now it is back to 5:30.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Lorilee
Did you wake up in Austin by mistake?? Those mushrooms are huge! And tabasco on the coffee tray? On second thought, perhaps you slipped through the looking glass. Colorful life indeed! Kathy

ReplyDeleteThanks for checking my blog out & for the nice compliment. I'd love to have that van - I'd print Leola's on the side. Don't know how to explain those mushrooms -- only in Texas. Happy New Year from cold Mo. Jan

ReplyDeleteHi Susan, thanks for visiting me and following my blog, I've done the same now ;) Will pop back to read more of your posts later.
ReplyDeleteI live in Austin, TX and have never heard of anyone putting tabasco in their coffee! With my bland English palate it would probably blow my head off, I can't take spicy!
:)
Holy Smokes...I would have driven around the block to get a photo of those too! Maybe they are gearing up for the new Alice in Wonderland movie coming out in March!
ReplyDeleteSmiles, Nancy

Wow you were definitely in another plane for a minute! Not sure if it was a time warp or a flashback but looks like a fun diversion from the every day. Thanks for the little trip to la la land, it was fun! Glad you found me and vice versa, Happy 2010!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your recent visit and kind comments.
My goodness, you truly do lead a colorful life. I'm not sure what to make of the tabasco by the coffee fixins and those mushrooms are certainly interesting.
Did you just step into a time vortex? Between the van and the shrooms, you might be trapped in 1970. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, I'm very glad that you found me, too. The snowman is a real snowman built-from-snow real that is. ;D
ReplyDeleteYes, you do live in a colorful neighborhood. I haven't seen one of those kinds of vans for years and years.
The mushrooms are cute but I'm glad they aren't next door to me. :)
ReplyDeleteThe hot sauce doesn't even surprise me. Maybe someone is putting it on their microwave eggs?
I've actually heard of Tabasco sauce in coffee, but have and would never try it. Just why? You'd better get out of there! LOL!
ReplyDeleteSusan, you are living a colorful life. I had no idea your blog title was so appropriate! Fun post. laurie

What a fun &colorful post. I saw you over at Lisa's Tarnished & Tatered Blog. I noticed you live in Houston. Did you know there is a wonderful art/jewelry event going on there in March? If you go to my site click on the side bar where you see Adorn Me. You can read about the events & by clicking on ARTIST's you will see the classes they are teaching. There will be a vendor night open to the public on Friday night. Just thought you might be interested. Charlene
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, thank you so much for your sweet words on my post... it was a bit of a heavy one, but some things just touch your heart, you know?
ReplyDeleteYes we are freezing over here, hope you're managing to keep warm too - I've never imagined Texas to get that cold!! Must be a shock to the system!
Best wishes for a fabulous week ahead :)

Nice to meet you, Susan. I love your blog, too. Seems we have some common interests. I just got a new camera for Christmas and have been photographing lots of Galveston houses. Just need to put them on the blog now. I love that van, by the way!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, I used to be in the Winnie and Tulula shop and it's a gorgeous shop. You should stop by and check it out, esp. this week since they are having a white sale. Let me know what you think.
ReplyDeleteThose mushrooms are adorable! Thanks for visiting my blog the other day! Always like getting to chat with my neighbors!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan! Thanks for your visit! All things cottage, huh? I'm thinkin' we think alike!
ReplyDeleteIt got up to 53 yesterday here in East Texas. YEA! I'm so ready for spring I can't stand it! I would like to skip January and February each year.
The hot sauce looks completely normal to me. We have several bottles at our house (but not with coffee). My husband drowns everything with Tabasco! He loves hot stuff and even opens up the pepper shaker lid so he can pour lots of pepper on his food!
I'm looking forward to checking out your cottage - the mushrooms are weird, but the 60's van is amazing! I was born just a little too late to enjoy the 60's, but in retrospect, I think it was probably best! Take care!
Oh my gosh, that is groovy. Are your neighbors complaining? Those mushrooms are really weird. Thanks for visting my blog I am going to stay and look around a bit. So fun...
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing, I just love your blog..found it just now!! You see some interesting things in your neighborhood!! that van is pretty cool
