MORE SNOW!!!!

My new friend, Jessica at http://thecozykettle.blogspot.com/ blogged about the snow too. She got some AWESOME pictures. It looks like her side of town got more than mine....but I was ecstatic with everything I got! What a great early Christmas present. Now, if Santa will bring me a better camera I'll be able to share BEAUTIFUL pictures like Jessica. My camera's older and I can tell the difference in the photos.
Palms and snow....what a conundrum!

Beautiful berries covered in snow! We are really beginning to see accumulation...WOOO!

Isn't everything prettier with a dusting of snow!?!?!

So....that was last night...and this morning it's all gone except the memories and pictures! It's sunny and expected to get to 58, which generally, us Texans think of as very chilly. However, now that we've been over to "THE WHITE SIDE"....we may never be the same. Hehehe!

  1. You guys are cracking me up! Whenever I see someone say "beautiful snow" or "yay we got snow" I know they live in a warm climate or they are just plain BLOOMING NUTS! I'll tell you what...I'll GIVE you all the snow we get here in New England lol...and when you're done shoveling...I'll send you some more. I would kill for a palm tree and a sweater this time of year!!!!

  6. Hi Susan, thanks for stopping by my blog so I could "find" yours. My parents live in Houston, right by Hobby Airport and my father called me giddy as a child letting me know it was snowing away last night!! I grew up there and you don't see snow very much especially not in December....so Merry Christmas!!! Great pictures!!

  7. Love seeing your snow. We don't get much around my parts. My DH's parents goto Donna TX for the winter b/c it's warmer then NC. A few years ago they had a white Christmas (they had snow on the grapefruit plants)and I must say I don't think we ever have in my city, NC.

Would you like to trade winters for the rest of the season? Boy I would! lol
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I love yours, it's so much fun reading it! I also like reading about your cool green ways of making new cool things out of junk!
Enjoy the dusting of the white stuff!

  9. We are going to get snow this weekend and high winds-what fun! UUGGHH! It is fun when you don't get it much. It is not too bad here most of the time but every once in a while we get hit pretty good. I love how peacful it is as the snow is falling. I am from Southern California so for me it is a big deal. The first time I ever saw it really snow I was traveling in Utah and I went crazy I was so excited! LoL!Have fun with your sprinkling of snow! LoL!

  10. I agree with nikkicrumpet!!! Up here in Northern Ontario, Canada - when we get snow - we get about a foot or so. Now, that's snow.
It's pretty when it's a little bit on palm trees, for sure.
We JUST got another 6 inches overnight. To me, each day here brings another day of shovelling. Sometimes - even if it is pretty, you just want to scream so you can dig your driveway out, try to unfreeze the garage door, open it up, and drive the car out!!!!!
Sounds lovely to be 58F though, I must admit. Enjoy it down there!

  11. Okay...maybe I am the ONLY person in Houston that is sooooo glad this "white stuff" is gone! And no way will I EVER go to the other side! :)

Remind me to tell you the story about my night drive from Alberq. to Santa Fe in April and wondered why those people did not "spray for all those bugs flying in the air??? Cause they were really bad! (Hummm...friend tells me...do you see any of these "bugs" splatting on the window?) Oh...nope??? Why don't you stick your head out the window & see what kind of "bugs" those are? OMG...it's snow!!!! (told you I was from the deeeep South...tried & true) :)

  16. Wow, you really DID get a nice dusting! I almost said "Hey! You stole our snow!", as they were saying we were under a winter weather advisory here, and that flurries were possible. Didn't happen though - it just stayed miserably cold, but is now warming up. I love the shots of the frost on the palms. That's certainly not something you see everyday!

  22. Lots of snow here in Michigan!! My kids have already had two snow days off from school.

I could use a new camera too. That doesn't quite fit into our budget right now. My blogs pictures look quite dull. I think your photos all look very nice. I have enjoyed looking around.

    Merry Christmas!
